چکیده
Ionization of atoms and molecules in laser fields can lead to various interesting interference structures the photoelectron spectrum. For case a superintense extreme ultraviolet pulse, we identify novel petal-like structure electron momentum distribution along direction field propagation. We show that this is quite general be attributed Fresnel diffraction electronic wave packet by nucleus. Our results are demonstrated numerically solving time-dependent Schr\"odinger equation atomic hydrogen beyond dipole approximation. By building an analytical model, find displacement determines aforementioned pattern. In addition, establish physical picture laser-induced which reinforced both quantum semiclassical models.

Correlated electronic decay in expanding clusters triggered by intense XUV pulses from a Free-Electron-Laser
Irradiation of nanoscale clusters and large molecules with intense laser pulses transforms them into highly-excited non- equilibrium states. The dynamics of intense laser-cluster interaction is encoded in electron kinetic energy spectra, which contain signatures of direct photoelectron emission as well as emission of thermalized nanoplasma electrons. In this work we report on a so far not obser...
متن کاملLaser-induced electron tunneling and diffraction.
Molecular structure is usually determined by measuring the diffraction pattern the molecule impresses on x-rays or electrons. We used a laser field to extract electrons from the molecule itself, accelerate them, and in some cases force them to recollide with and diffract from the parent ion, all within a fraction of a laser period. Here, we show that the momentum distribution of the extracted e...

Vartanyants Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron, Notkestrasse 85, 22603 Hamburg, Germany (Dated: June 30, 2011) Abstract The average temporal (longitudinal) and spatial (transverse) coherence of free electron laser pulses in the extreme ultraviolet (XUV) at FLASH is measured by interfering two time-delayed partial beams directly on a CCD camera. Wavelengths between...
متن کاملSingle-shot spectro-temporal characterization of XUV pulses from a seeded free-electron laser
Intense ultrashort X-ray pulses produced by modern free-electron lasers (FELs) allow one to probe biological systems, inorganic materials and molecular reaction dynamics with nanoscale spatial and femtoscale temporal resolution. These experiments require the knowledge, and possibly the control, of the spectro-temporal content of individual pulses. FELs relying on seeding have the potential to p...
